SAP HR Payroll Functional Configurator

Temporary assignment for SAP OneSD- (4 to 6 months)


ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
  • Configure SAP ECC 6.0 Payroll module in a Public Sector environment
  • Work with Business users to translate requirements into design and configuration
  • Participates on large, complex projects
  • Conducts design reviews and presentations
  • Develops and approves systems architecture, specifications and executes test plans 
  • Maintains and/or constructs programs independently
  • Team lead for technical employees
  • Provides leadership and assistance to assistant programmers, programmers and senior programmers
  • Primary contact with client, works towards a high level of knowledge of client's business
  • Creates documentation
  • Responsible for unit testing, participates in systems level testing
  • Provides 24/hr/7 day support as directed  

  SKILLS, EXPERIENCE & EDUCATION

  • Must have Public Sector experience and knowledge of HCM integration to FI 
  • Knowledge of Time module a must
  • MUST have experience analyzing postings from PY to FI including knowledge of the integration between Payroll, Time, and FI
  • Experience with multiple unions and complex schemas in Payroll and Time Management
  • 5+ years of SAP HR experience including full lifecycle implementations and support specific to the ECC 6.0 HCM Payroll module  
  • 8+ years information technology experience in programming and analysis, demonstrating high degree of technical expertise
  • Must have hands-on configuration and schema experience implementing net Payroll in multi-union environments with complex rules, experience using FMLA workbench, quota accruals, eligibility rules, and off-cycle and retro check issuances    
  • Ability to maintain and/or construct programs independently
  • Knowledge of project management and emerging technology, with ability to open up new technical areas
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Understanding of customer needs and ability to translate into technological need
  • Ability to conduct presentations to all levels of management
  • Ability to travel to other sites within San Diego County
