(Customer Care Sytem Project)


Essential Functions
  • Provide advanced support for the SAP environment, including upgrades, variety of interfacing technologies and applications, daily onsite and remote monitoring of SAP environment, trouble shooting & taking corrective action
  • Participate on SAP large, complex projects - new deployments, migrations, patches, transports between various environments, client setup, and on-going maintenance
  • Support ongoing SAP backups, recovery and support for City of San Diego projects
  • Conduct design reviews and presentations
  • Develop and approve systems architecture, specifications and execute test plans
  • Help with installation and management of SAP-CRB landscape
  • Provide leadership and assistance to other staff
  • Provide primary support for the client's systems, working towards a high level of knowledge of client's business
  • Responsible for unit testing, participating in systems level testing and creating documentation
  • Provide 24/7 support when needed
  • Minimum travel within the San Diego County for customer and team meetings
 Skills, Experience, and Education
  • Advanced BASIS programming skills, demonstrating high degree of technical expertise in the SAP environment, programs, interfaces, upgrades, support, business processes, SAP notes, and maintenance
  • 8+ years information technology experience, demonstrating a high degree of technical expertise
  • 5+ years BASIS Administrator experience
  • Middleware, SQLServer, Unix, Windows, Solution Manager, CRM & Portal experience 
  • Utilities business knowledge a plus 
  • Knowledge of project management and emerging technology
  • Good understanding of SAP technology solutions and the underlying infrastructure to support it (i.e. servers, OS, database, storage, networking)
  • Broad understanding of java application server technologies
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Ability to communicate requirements and issues with all levels of staff, management, and clients, including technical and non-technical persons
  • Understanding of customer needs and ability to translate into technological needs
  • Ability to conduct presentations to all levels of management
  • Ability to travel to meetings
