   Essential Functions
  • Participates on large, SAP complex projects, including CSS Project 
  • Visions and participates in Portal architecture
  • Conducts SAP design reviews and presentations
  •  Collaborates with the client's functional teams to help vision & gather functional requirements for internal/external SAP Enterprise Portal landscape
  • Collaborates with the SAP Security Team to develop portal user, group, and role strategies
  • Engages in and helps coordinate all phases of the software development life cycle
  • Develops and approves systems architecture, specifications and executes test plans
  • Maintains and/or constructs programs
  •  Team lead for technical employees
  • Provides leadership and assistance to assistant programmers, programmers and senior programmers.  Provides knowledge transfer
  • Primary portal support with client, works towards a high level of knowledge of client's business
  • Creates documentation
  • Responsible for SAP unit testing, participates in systems level testing
  • Travel within San Diego County for business meetings with clients and colleagues
 Skills, Experience, and Education
  • 5+ years SAP programming and analysis experience, demonstrating a high degree of technical expertise in multiple SAP modules
  • Portal Development Skills (i.e. Roles, Worksets, Pages, & Iviews)
  • ECC, CRM, BW, BI, JSP & HTML experience
  • Broad understanding of server, OS, storage, and networking technologies
  • Knowledge of security communications
  • Understanding of Java and servlet programming
  • Experience with Web Dynpro (Abap and Java)
  • Utilities business knowledge a plus
  • Ability to construct and maintain SAP programs
  • Knowledge of project management and emerging technology, with ability to open up new technical areas
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Understanding of customer needs and ability to translate them into technological requirements
  • Ability to work independently
  • Knowledge of the City's SAP environment a plus
  • Ability to conduct presentations to all levels of staff and management
  • Ability to travel to meetings
