Sewer History Activity Repository & Query (SHARQ)
The Public Technology Institute, the only technology organization created by and for cities and counties, recognized SDDPC for the Sewer History Activity Repository and Query System (SHARQ), a comprehensive solution developed in conjunction with the City of San Diego's Metropolitan Wastewater Department to significantly reduce sanitary sewer overflows from its wastewater collections system.
As a result of using SHARQ, MWWD has expedited the assessment of about 20,000 sewer segments from years to months, realizing a productivity improvement of more than 300%.
